Burnham Thorpe is a picturesque village on the north Norfolk coast made famous as the village where Horatio Nelson was born. Originally named The Plough this pub is known to have been frequented by Nelson and was renamed in his honour in 1798 after the battle of the Nile (Abu Qir).
